This was originally composed for a wood-wind trio (Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon) and by only raising the Bassoon part an octave and changing the key, it turned out to be a wonderful piece for three trumpets.
This is the first of two minuets in this work.
Most of the “meat” is in the first trumpet part.
