This is our third arrangement of Arban Characteristic Studies. Our first generated more interest than I had expected so this had to follow.
This will be a crowd pleaser for sure, especially if you play the original study first and then follow with your quartet version.
While arranging this number, I became much more aware of the harmonic progression than I ever had while only practicing the study. This would be very helpful for your students to understand how the melody was actually constructed.
As a contest piece, this would be a #1 for sure. .....depending on how well it was performed.
