One of my favorite Oratorios is Handel's Messiah. The brilliance in the counterpoint is breathtaking and this is one of my favorite sections of the composition. The soprano part is split between the first and second trumpet and I have taken many, many liberties with the original in order for it to fit the trumpet ensemble. Some rhythms have been changed as well as numerous mistakes in the keyboard part. If Handel had written it for the modern trumpet ensemble, I would hope it would sound like this.
Parts include Trumpets 1,2,3,4,5, score and keyboard.
