Every ensemble must have an arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner for those last minute requests. I wanted to arrange this version with a little more harmonic edge than we usually hear. It has a much richer and more up-to-date feeling. The ending is more like an MGM production and will requite a high D for the first trumpet player. I switched the parts in the trumpets to give the first a little break before the last phrase which will help.
