Length- 3:53 (1st. and 2nd. Mvts. only)
Difficulty-D
Range – High C to low G
Endurance- 3
Finger technique- 3
Counting ability- 3
Ensemble difficulty- 3
This is the twenty- third in a series of arrangements composed/arr./trans. for use in Solo/Ensemble contests and will help fill the need for new material for competing middle school and high school players. Each of these ensembles are selected to show the very best qualities of your ensemble and through careful editing, each has a professional sound with only an average playing ability.
Why should the strings have all the fun on this number? The two solo parts are made much easier by lowering the key from the original. Nothing has been lost due to the change of key. The third trumpet has a lot to do but a good high school student could get it done. I have included only the first and second movements in this offering because of the added work involved in the transcription and the extra number of pages in each part and score. The third movement will follow. As soon as I get my energy back!
