Vocal transcriptions are not easy for most require multi-syllabic unions. In other words, to make a vocal number sound instrumental, you have to combine repeated notes to smooth out the melodic lines. This takes a lot of time and patients. I have also created many suspensions to give this a more instrumental feel both to the player as well as the listener.
This piece has three distinct sections made possible through three keys and three different tempi and time signatures. Even though you move from 4/4 to 6/8 and then back to 4/4, because of the tempi, the change is made easy for the quarter note and the dotted quarter notes remain at the same tempo.
If you need a quality number not recognized by a judge, this could be the one you are looking for. Students will become more comfortable as they realize how easy this is to put together.
