Several people have mentioned that there were very few collections of duets suitable for the beginning trumpet student which prompted this collection. The tunes are well known, easy to perform and still sound up to date in style. If you need a large collection of interesting duets for your younger students, this would definitely fill the need. The numbers include- Amazing Grace, America, Birthday Theme, Blow The Man Down, Careless Love, Down In The Valley, London Bridge, Long, Long Ago, Marines’ Hymn , Mary Had A Little Lamb, My Darling Clementine, Row, Row, Row Your Boat, Shenandoah, Sing A Song Of Sixpence, Ten Little Indians, The Battle Hymn Of The Republic, The Caissons Go Rolling Along, This Old Man and Three Blind Mice.
As you can see from the included pages, the titles have been left out so that you could assign the number to your students and ask them to write in the title. In that way you would know if they had actually played the number and recognized it. All of the titles are listed on the last page of the collection.
This is a great collection to have on your stand when working with the young students or with an older player you would like to do some very easy sight reading.
